Twinkie Sushi Dessert

I don't know were I found this recipe, but I was looking in the Recipe Folder of my

computer the other day and found this. I must have downloaded it some time ago.

This sounds like something Moms and Kids would have fun making together.

Twinkie Sushi Dessert

4 pieces green fruit leather, sliced into 1-inch-wide strips

6 Twinkies, cut into 1-inch pieces

Assorted dried fruits, cut into small pieces

Assorted chewy fruity candies

4 to 6 pieces of dried mango, cut into strips

One at a time, wrap the fruit-leather pieces around the Twinkie pieces.

Place the wrapped Twinkie pieces upright on a serving tray or in a bento box.

Place the dried fruits and candies into the creme filling.

Garnish the tray with strips of dried mango to resemble pickled ginger.

Serve with chopsticks, if you wish.

cooking/baking with grandchildren

I have a soon to be 4 yr.old granddaughter named judy. She is just starting to want to cook. It is so much fun for me/us, I had boys and they didn't want to cook. We have made cupcakes, tuna salad, almond crunch, rice crispy treats. We made a batch of rice crispy treats, and put a small amount into a heart shaped pan, She patted it in, for my 84 yr' old Mother, which was delighted to learn that Judy had made that for her Grannie. then the rest in a dish. After dinner, I went to the store and when I came home Judy and her Grandpa had eaten almost all of the rice crispies,:-).
