We have about a solid month or so of summer left and I’m looking for more reasons to celebrate the season!
Please share your successful summer party ideas!
Here are a few I’ve seen:
1. The Sandwich Party: Everybody makes and brings their favorite sandwich! They make enough of the sandwich to be cut up and shared for the amount of people that will be there. It’s easy on the host and hostess because all you need is a couple bags of chips and some light drinks. People vote for their favorite sandwich and most creative sandwich.
Prizes can be something foodie and themes can be picnic or deli.
2. A great challenge is to use one of your favorite ingredients throughout a meal. For example, (Summer Refresh!) when we were young we loved our lemonade stand and now that we are older we can have a whole gathering around the refreshing drink
Sure, there are lemonade drinks and lemonade desserts…
But have you tried cooking with lemonade? Try the Plum Barbecue Sauce for your next grilled meal! http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes.aspx/design-your-own-kabobs-with-fruit-sauces
3. Life is a Beach! No need to have an extensive menu for guests- check out this fun party menu:

4. Celebrate the seasonal flavors! If you are heading to your farmers market- or you’re just wanting to use what’s in season- this menu is meant to be a crowd pleaser:
