I have a recipe for Buckeyes, that sounds like what you're looking for.

1 stick of butter ; 1 1/2 cups peanut butter ; 1 tsp. Vanilla ; 1 lb. Powdered sugar       Mix together, roll into balls & refridgerate.

16 oz. bag Chocolate Chips ; 1/4 cube of Parrafin Wax (used for canning & baking)      Melt both together until creamy in a doubl broiler. Put tooth picks into rolled peanut butter balls, dip into chocolate & set on wax paper to dry.

Hope this helps!  :-)

I need a recipe that uses leg quarters...can anyone help?

12/12/2007 12:28 AM

Hi caretobake, how are you?  I know a couple of recipes for leg quarters.  May I make a suggestion though?  How about posting this as your own post?  If you look mat the top of the page for the home page for this section, "Holidays and Entertaining", you'll a box that says "Start Your Own Conversation".  Just click on that.  If you could expain a little bit more of what kind of recipe your looking for, I'll bet within a few days or sooner, you'll have list of recipes.  Even if a few of them are not what you're looking for, you can copy them down and expand your recipe box.  A quick question, is this for chicken?  I'll be looking for your post, and I promise, I'll reply!  Take care!

I have everything except for the paraffin, do you think it will still work?

Thanks, this is great, my boyfriend has to take cookies in for work and of course he doesn't give my much notice, so I hope it will still be okay! Thanks!

1 tbsp on cisco shortening in choc. chips in place of parafin wax is what I use. helps choc set and shine. hope this helps

Thanks so much grandmaof1 this is exactly what Iam looking for. I do have a couple questions though. How many does this recipe make? and what do you mean by 1/4 cube of wax? I thought they came in a shape of a rectangle (bar like). You and your family have a Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Yours Truly,

Kelly Smile

1 box sifted powdered sugar

12 oz. jar peanut butter (crunchy)

2 sticks oleo, melted

Mix together well the honey grahams, pecans, sugar, peanut butter, oleo and vanilla. Roll into small balls. Let set at least 1 hour. Melt the chips and wax together over hot water. Dip balls into chocolate mixture. Let dry on waxed paper.

Hello I am very new to this... I am looking for a recipe.. It was in an OLD Betty Crocker cookbook I say late late 80s or early 90s.. Over the years I have lost it and I would love to find it again to make for my family.. Sad part is i do not know the name of it. It is chicken wings and i remember cornmeal is in the batter also you fry them other than that I do not have a clue. I have looked everywhere. Please if anyone knows the recipe I would greatly appreciate it. Smile
