celtics, that looks really good, I am going to make it for supper tonight,Yes. I have also sliced my bananas into 1 c. of water adding 1t. lemon juice, let set for 5 min, this keeps them from turning brown as fast, then drain really good, put them on a paper towel and pat dry, then put 1/2 of your pudding mix in the pie crust, layer in the bananas and top with the rest of the pudding. it looks freally neat when you slice it.I've never used cream cheese in it.

Hi celtic, I finaly got to make the pie. Here's what happened, after going to the store 4 times, I finally got the only 2 items that I neededSurprise. I used the 4 oz. cream cheese instead of 8 oz. I also used 1t. vanilla. it was very good! My husband and I both really liked it. It was better the next day, although it did cool for 3/4 hrs. It is a keeper and I am going to try it with fresh blueberries and another one with freah strawberreis. I really love blueberries and strawberries with cream. Lots of possibilitiesSmileYes

This is about Vanilla extract only.  If you can, get yours from  a Mexican Market, if there are any in your area's!!! It's the difference between just ok and absolutely fabulous! I live in Arizona, near Mexico and get mine there. There's no Alcohol in it and they come in BIG bottles. The Brand I have now is "Molina" 16.8 fl. oz; if you can imagine that!! They last for years and never spoil, no refrigeration needed! You have to try it to truly understand what I'm trying to tell you, I guess, but you can trust me on this, HONESTLY!!!!  I wish all of you luck in finding the Mexican vanilla (it's not extract at all). You'll never, ever go back to those icky little bottles ever again, I can promise y'all that! Let me know if you do find it and what you think of it! I'd love to know if I was able to help, here.   Thanks and best of luck, best wishes and friendship, always, Rebecca in Tucson, AZ

hi everyone, I did find out one thing about the bananas, if you mix them with the pudding, instead of layering them on the bottm/ They won't turn brown or get soggy as fast. I also find out that if you soak the bananas a few min. in lemon water, then drain well and pat dry, they won't brown as fast either.
