can i swap semi sweet chocolate for milk chocolate??

Yes, you can.  I almost always use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet.

I usually use semi-sweet rather than milk chocolate.  I think it has a richer and deeper chocolate flavor.  The milk chocolate is much too sweet for me.  Go for the semi sweet. 
(Unsweetened--thats another story have to adjust the sugar and sometimes the butter in the recipe to swap that.)

Hi again, If you talking about the floavor of "chips"?, yes you can, as said it will have a stronger chocolate taste, which is betterSmile
