I have no idea what to make for dinner

Oh man I am in a tight spot. I dont know what to make for dinner. I know some people might think that this sounds nuts but my husband and I still have the old school values. He goes to work and I stay home and take care of our son and cook and clean and all that jazz. Well I am fresh out of ideas. I am pregnant and really want some kind of cheesey chikcen and rice but I dont know what to make all the way. Or how to throw that together. I am from texas and everything there is usally a really big dinner really heavy stuff like that. So someone please help if you have any ideas for what I listed. The new baby needs cheesy chicken and rice. Lol. Thanks guys.

You could omit the peppers, almonds, pimientos and mushrooms....and add a cup of shredded cheese.

Chicken Rice Casserole
From Betty Crocker

1/4 cup margarine
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups cut-up cooked chicken or turkey (about 10 ounces)
1 1/2 cups cooked wild rice
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
Parsley, if desired

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat margarine in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk and broth. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole or square baking dish, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes or until bubbly. Garnish with parsley.

Hi i have an idea you can ponder about! I usually make it when im out of ideas also but want to use chicken. So what i do is grill chicken breast cut them into about one inch cubes. Then i make maccoronni and cheese and white rice. So i that point what u do is combine all the ingredients together and it is really good. It is very tasty. I have a 2 year old boy named Joshua he is very picky. He likes food that is actually appealing to the eye first. Then of course if it taste good its always a winner in his book. I was also going to say instead of maccoronni and cheese you can add cream of mushroom or cream of chicken it is really good and healthy for you and your baby to be. Well i hope i was of some help!
