Here is the recipe for pizza crust from the Betty Crocker "Big Red" Cookbook...

Pizza Crust

2 1/2 to 3 cups all-purpose or bread flour

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 package regular or quick active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)

3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil

1 cup very warm water (120 degrees to 130 degrees F)

In large bowl, mix 1 cup of the flour, the sugar, salt, and yeast. Add oil and warm water. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed 3 minutes, scraping bowl frequently.  Stir in enough remaining flour until dough is soft and leaves sides of bowl.  Place dough on lightly floured surface. Knead 5 to 8 minutes or until dough is smooth and springy.  Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes.

Also, a side note, Betty Crocker has a great tasting pizza crust mix in a pouch as well.

I use my bread machine to make a wonderful pizza crust.  Just do it in the morning before you go to work, set it for dough and the dough is ready for rolling out when you get home.

1 pkg active dry yeast, 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 ts salt (I leave out), 1/2 ts sugar, 1 1/2 tb olive oil (I use vegi oil) 1 c water.  Press evenly into a lightly greased pan.  Prick dough all over with a fork.  Bake @ 400 for 12 to 15 min until crust is lightly browned.  Remove from oven and put on your favorite toppings.  Return to oven for 10 to 15 min until toppings are bubbling and/or melted.  For a flavorful crust add herbs and or cheese before the oil.  If you like a really thin crust like we do - this will make 2 crusts - I bake them both and then freeze one for use later

I use this all the time - we make a variety of different pizzas from plain cheese to BBQ chicken to Hawiian.

If you would like the recipies for any specific pizzas just let me know.

I would love to hear them.  Do you have one for white pizza/broccoli or a recipe for buffalo chicken?

I do one with an alfrado sauce usually bought and add chicken and broccoli or spinich.  Also good is just put olive oil with alittle garlic on the crust and add your chicken & broccoli with parmasan cheese.

I have made a buffalo chicken one using a pkt of honey BBQ buffalo wing mix.  I use the left over seasoning, after coating the chicken and mix with water to make the paste for the crust.  My husband said it is to spicy and over powering - I liked it.  If it is too spicy for you, I was thinking of next time rubbing the crust with olive oil.
