Tater Tot Casserole

All you need is Hamburger meat, cream of mushroom soup, shredded cheese and tater tots. You Fry the hamburger, drain the fat, mix that in with the soup. Place in a casserole dish, then top with shredded cheese, place tater tots on top of that, and add more shredded cheese if you like. Then bake at 350 till the tater tots are cooked.

My mother-in-law told me about this and my kids love it! Make a salad or a veggie on the side. It's very filling and delicious!!!!!!

I I just made this on sunday for our church potluck and everyone loved it and asked me for the recipe. It is so easy and fast to make. Sometimes I put fresh broccoli in it.

Hi dragonmaid33605, I have never tried that, although when my 2 sons ( now 42 & 44) where young they loved "tater tots", I fixed them a lot.Smile

This recipe is to tasty! I've had it before, and it's surprising how easy yet how delicious it is! I usually add garlic powder too. To spice it up, you can add jalepenos, and some Mrs. Dash spicy blend. Some Bac-Os would be good in it too. I make a full pan and have leftovers to take for lunch at work.

Everything in moderation... including moderation.

Hi dragonnmaid33605,

Your recipe sounds delicious.  So does all the suggestions the others have mentioned.  My friend once said if she had a pound of hamburger she could feed 100 people.  I believe she could have.

I use Chicken and make it like a pot pie without the potatoes then add the tater tots on top.  Our family enjoyed it that way.

Thanks for all the ideas,

Leila

I am sorry but do need to mix the soup with milk or anything, or do you just add the mix straight from the can, with duitling the soup

you are known for your cooking

According to the recipe posted, you do not dilute the soup with milk.

I've made this dish many times and I mix a cup of milk with the soup and pour the mixture over the hamburger in a casserole dish. I top that with grean beans then the cheese and top it off with the tator tots. Enjoy!

I love simple recipes like this one. I am going to have to try it and see if my kids like it.

My mom made a Tator Tot Casserole, that was hamburger, tomato soup, mixed vegetables all mixed together, then topped with shredded cheddar and tator tots. It was pretty good too. I'll have to try it this way also, It sounds really good!
