What are your favorite homemade subs?

Just not too long ago I made delicious homemade chicken subs.  I buttered and toasted hotdog buns, then stuffed them with chicken nuggets, spaghetti sauce, and provolone cheese.  Broiling them until the cheese was bubbly added the finishing touch!  What are your favorite homemade subs?

I just recently made miniature meatball sandwhiches and miniature california grilled chicken sandwhiches for a large baby shower. I bought a bag of meatballs from our local warehouse supermarket and boneless skinless chix breasts. I added chopped garlic and grilled onions to the mb sands and added parm and mozzarella, wrapped them in tin foil and popped them in the oven. For the chix sands I mashed up some avacodos and spread them (instead of mayo) on the mini rolls. Grilled the chix with garlic and onion powder and a little itallian seasoning and sea salt. fried up some bacon, put it all together and it was yummy. These sandwhiches are great to travel and store and serve. Super easy too.Wink

Life is like a recipe, it can not be called your own till you mix it up a bit.

when my D.H. owned his oun tree service, our two teen sons and I worked with him. I made subs this way, we were big eaters at the time and we each ate a 1/2 loaf sub, can't imagiane that now,Wink. 1 loaf of french or itialian bread sliced long ways. Top with sliced ham, bologna, salamy or pickle loaf, with swiss cheese and mazarella slices in between the meat, put in the oven and bake about 15-20 min. at 350. or untill the lunch meat is hot and the cheese melts. Then top with tomato, lettuce, and banana peppers, or hot ones. We loved these.
