Leftover Taco Seasoning Mix?

I like to use leftover taco seasoning mix added to melted butter and brush over corn on the cob for a tasty side dish! What do you like to do with taco seasoning? Any fun or creative ideas??

Corn on the cob........what a great idea!  I like to mix mine in with sour cream and cream cheese to make a yummy dip for taco chips!  Add lettuce, tomatoe, green onion and shredded cheese to top it off.  It a fav in our home!  =)

I like to use leftover taco mix when I make my favorite dish, which is maracorni & cheese with itianlian sausage. It was a little something creative that I thought of that might taste good to try.

I have used it as a rub for chicken and pork chops.  I have also added it to meat loaf as well as chili.  It also makes a good flavoring for a salad dressing, a little in a bottled ranch dressing adds a little zing.

I sprinkle it on light or fat-free cottage cheese to give it more flavor.  You can also substitute cottage cheese seasoned with taco seasoning for a light alternative to sour cream.

I like to put it in a crock pot with a splash of water atop a nice beef roast and then shred the beef when it's super tender.  I make tacos, nachos, enchiladas, etc.  It works great with chicken too.

I use mine in my eggs fried and scrambled

For a nice side dish, add some to the water when making instant rice.  When the rice absorbs the water, it absorbs the flavor too.  To stretch the rice into a meal, add a little frozen corn, some beans (black, kidney, etc), some diced green peppers and some diced grilled chicken.  Top with a dollop of sour cream, salsa and/or some shredded cheddar cheese.

One of my favorite sides that can be topped with taco seasoning is cheesy rice.

I cup water

1 cup instant rice

2 slices american cheese

Heat water to boiling and add rice and cheese.  Cover and let water absorb.  Top with seasoning.  Super cheesy!

Not leftover,,but full package used as spices for making chili.  Sometimes I use an envelope of Brown Gravy mix as well.  Makes EXCELLENT chili, not too hot, just right.  If you want to spice it up, use "chili" or "hot" pinto beans instead of the regular beans.

I pour a package or two of taco seasoning mix into a bag and shake with chicken wings, then bake for Taco Wings!

i mix mine with some ranch dressing to make a really yummy southwest salad dressing. pour it over a salad with chicken, black beans, corn & anything else sounds good to you.......crumble some leftover tortilla chips (you know the ones at the bottom of the bag that are really too small for much of anything!)  it comes out really good.
