Friendship bread (Amish)

On my recipe it says what to do for the starter and then on the 10th day to add the remaining ingredients.  Don't I add all the remaining ingredients to the starter?  The starter I have only has (added day 6) flour, sugar, and milk, not the oil, cinnamon, vanilla, etc.

Hi adort, The recipe that Jdow87 is using wouldn't be very good for bread.  I didn't check the link that well but if it has a recipe for sour dough starter, that's great for bread. Lots of luck. granna2

Hi jdow87, The link that eemma sent you to is correct. I have made Amish Friendship Bread for years, so follow the instructions. But to answer your question, you only add the other ingredents after you have divided your starter, then you only use part of it and add the rest to make the bread. Good luck and let us know how it turned out. If you don't have 3 other friends to share with, either make the bread and freeze it or freeze the other 3 starters. Granna2
