5 Servings, Ready in 25 minutes, $2 Per Serving

In hopes to cut down in the weekly food budget- I wanted to present the Cajun Turkey Burger Skillet.

1 lb lean ground turkey
1 small red bell pepper, chopped (1/2 cup)
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 cups hot water
1 cup milk
1 box Hamburger Helper® cheeseburger macaroni
1 cup shredded pepper Jack cheese (4 oz)

1. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook turkey, bell pepper and Cajun seasoning over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until turkey is no longer pink; drain.
2. Stir in hot water, milk and uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper box). Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 13 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Sprinkle with cheese.

Substitution
Cajun seasoning is a blend of seasonings. If you don't have it, jazz up this skillet meal with chili powder for a different taste.

A friend of mine made this a week or so ago. Last night we took your recipe and twisted it a little bit. The cajun seasoning was replaced with Old El Paso taco seasoning mix, finished ingredients put into Old El Paso stand 'n stuff taco shells with Kraft four cheese mexican shredded cheese melted on top. Either way you look a it both were tasty. Thanks for the original recipe.

This is a great, easy meal that really appealed to my 13 year old. (husband and I enjoyed it, too) If you have a spice rack it is easy to make your own seasoning (look online) and if no Hamburger Helper is in the house, try a boxed mac-n-cheese.
