My favorite B.c. cookbook is actually white covered not red.  It was a gift from an aunt  when I got married.

I knew how to cook when I married but being an Air Force wife things were tight and this book became a main part of my

meal preparing.

I still love it--many pages are loose in it and stained.  It was before diet management and many recipes call for cream, butter and

other great things to give food great taste. One of my favorites from here is scalloped potatoes and the chocolate cake.

For many years this cookbook and a grange cookbook from my grandmother were all I cooked with.

As life changed so did my cooking habits and then other books came into my cooking life.  Now we are back to cooking for 2.

Hi ShannaQ,

I enjoyed looking through the pages that were available, the pictures are beautiful ! I love the helpful hints about making chocolate chip cookies, wish I had that book about 50 years ago. The pictures of all the different chilis with a description of the flavors and heat in them is perfect! I am still learning about the chili flavors and on one page it is all spelled out. Looking forward to looking through the whole cookbook. Looks like a job well done.
