Fall is in the Air... And in the Headlines! 10/23/09

Fall is in full swing! If you don’t believe me, just read what the bloggers have been up to this week. Pumpkin, candy corn, stews… They make me want to jump into a giant pile of freshly raked leaves. Smile

Pumpkin is the ultimate fall flavor. This blogger’s recent pumpkin patch outing inspired her, and she whipped up pumpkin pancakes with her daughters! She tries to cook at least once a week with her kiddos. From the look of her adorable pictures, this week’s culinary adventure was a success.

This blogger was impressed with how easy, versatile and tasty this Betty recipe for double corn potato chowder was. She put her own twist on the recipe by adding baking potatoes instead of frozen hash browns. A delicious, hearty, warm crock pot dinner is perfect for those brisk fall evenings!

Cheesy Pumpkin Biscuits showed up in two separate blogs this week! They are definitely a unique twist on a regular dinner roll. Bisquick helped both of them achieve this tasty autumn side dish.

This blogger’s fiancé had one request – some cozy comfort food to match the gloomy weather outside. She knew one of his all time favorite dishes was chicken pot pie, and it led to this amazing Bisquick creation! (She was originally going to use puff pastry dough, but upon realizing she didn’t have any, Bisquick saved the day!)

Don’t forget the fabulous fall dessert…

This blogger was tempted into making Betty Crocker’s candy corn cookie recipe after reading the 97 great reviews on BettyCrocker.com. It also helped her use up the two pouches of sugar cookie mix she had lying around. Her pictures of the step-by-step process are very helpful, along with the beautiful shots of the finished product!

Did any of these blogs catch your eye this week? What foods does autumn put you in the mood for? Please share!
