I have to agree! All of the above are great, but there's nothing like sweet sticky fall off the bone ribs! Especially when you can eat them outside and then just hose everyone off!

Homemade potato salad makes a picnic no matter what the meat.  It goes with everything.

Watermelon fresh out of the cooler is by far the best treat on a picnic with family!

Homemade potato salad is a MUST!! It goes great with anything, especially Santa Maria style tri-tip BBQ.

You've got to have watermelon, pasta & potato salad.  Don't forget when the sun goes down you'll need stuff to make s'mores!

Actually, you need ALL of the above!  When we BBQ, we usually do have it all.  Tri-tip, chicken, hot italian sausage, hot dogs & fresh fish. Sometimes we have rib's, too! That's because we do it up BIG for all of our friends & families. But we only do it ONCE a year and it's potluck style so there's plenty of contribution and/or $$ donated to put this on.

Oh yeah, we're in San Diego @ the beach!  You know, where there's sun, sand, frisbies, horseshoes, boats, waterskiing, wave-runners, volleyball, bikes, rollerblades, over-the-line, sunsets, bonfires, fireworks, etc...   Big Smile  Paradise

I really love Hot Dogs, and my own artichoke Casserole, which is artichoke hearts, baked with black sliced olives, corn flake crumbs, and butter. Baked until hot and bubbly at 375.

I usually bring my own food to a picnic because of food allergies, so I know what I'm eating. As far as dessert, yes, I do love brownies, and make my own gluten free brownies, which are very delicious. :)
