One time I was out of mayo and I used hummus. YUM. Now I never need to go back to mayo.

Also, I like the mess-free and the taste of the MorningStar Farms Bacon strips. Smile

I love BLTs with mayo! I like extra tomatoes, thinly sliced.

I have to watch my carbs, so I toast my bread and use a serrated knife to slice it through the center to make 2 pieces out of 1. That way, I can eat 2 sandwiches, but only 2 pieces of bread! I do this for most of the sandwiches I eat.

With spaghetti, I also cut French bread into 5 or 6 thin pieces instead of in half. It makes it seem like I have so much more bread that way. LOL

I use Texas Toast bread, LIGHTLY toasted and a little mayo on both slices. Thinly sliced, firm vine tomatoes. Thick-sliced bacon, cooked medium- not chewy, noy crispy. Crisped, crunchy fresh butter lettuce piled on.

I love a BLT anyway I can get one.  When I make them at home I make them the way I prefer.  Instead of regular bread I use a bagle.  I then slather it with lots of cream cheese.  Pile on the lettuce, tomato, and bacon.  Enjoy.  All three of my boys enjoy BLT's this way!

It's also CRITICAL that the tomato slices are sitting directly on the mayonnaise. This ups the yummy factor by leaps and bounds!!   Wink

Nom nom nom... delicious food!

I really enjoy my BLTs with hellmans mayo, fresh garden tomatoes, crisp cold iceberg lettuce, hot thick bacon with a melty slice of sharp cheddar to make it absolutely amazing.....Toasted texas toast is great too!

I think the best quality tomato would be the most important ingredient.  I sometimes make BLTs w/sprouts instead of lettuce.

Toasted homemade bread, sliced 1/2" thick, hickory smoked bacon (not thick, not thin) fully rendered, 5 slices to a sandwich), fresh garden roma tomatoes or Rutger tomatoes (not too juicy), Sams restaurant mayo (I buy by the gallon, better than Hellmans), fresh garden leaf lettuce and homemade Sun Pickles made with homegrown dill and garlic.
