What is your favorite dish to make with your leftovers

My family loves mac&cheese so much it is normally a side dish with dinner, but so often we have a pan of left over mac&cheese. So I thought why not make my own hamb.helper, so I did. My family likes ground chuck, dice green onions, and dice tomatos mixed in with the mac&cheese. I also add a little bit of chilli season in it. We all loVe it so much. So now no more leftover mac&cheese gets pitched in the trash.

There is so much good in the worst of us and so much bad in the best of us that it behooves all of us not to talk about the rest of us.

Well to save money, and to keep my husband from eating fast food everyday for lunch, with the leftovers we have I pack it for him to have it the next day for his lunch. He doesnt mind and he doesnt have to waste time or money tring to find some place to eat at.  Good question APPLEBUTTER007

I keep a container in the freezer and add leftover veggies and meats to it. When it gets full, I make a pot of soup.

I make a souffle with leftover mashed potatoes. I add sauted garlic, cheese, egg yolks and whipped egg whites then bake in buttered dish.

Leftover chicken is great for chicken salad and for quesadillas.

After a family BBQ, I chop leftover meat (wieners, smoked sausage, pork, etc.) and mix with leftover baked beans; ladle over toasted bread.

Leftover rice is great for adding to a stir-fry. It also makes great rice pudding.

hi applebutter007, That is a good question, it will give ous all some new ideals,Smile. I use leftover cooked chicken for chicken pot pie, I save the brothwith the roasts and use it for veg. soup or noodles, I save the ham bone and any small pieces as well as the broth that the ham was cooked to cook beans, I'am amazed that people will get rid of the water/broth left from the ham, it really seasons the beans!, if there's enough leftovers from a meal, I make my own T.V. dinners in divided ,covered, trays, then freeze and heat later, there's just two of us. And last but not least, I have friends that are single and I sometimes share it with them, depending on what it is,Smile granna2
