Hi 4-Dad: I started to answer your question here-in your first post.

Here is a recipe for baked chicken. :) As the chicken is baking, then I would start on the sides. They suggest this salad for the recipe I gave you- which says 20 minutes. What's nice about a cold salad is you can make it can keep it cool until the chicken comes out.

Smile I hope this answer (and the one before) is of some help.

Sincerely, CC

hi, it usually depends on what the side dishes are, if they take about 15 minutes or less, I usually start to make them about 5-10 min before the chicken is done, and then the chicken can sit and hang out, that way the chicken isn't scalding hot when you sit down to eat your dinner.  Hope this helpsSmile

hi4-dad, I can understand asking that question, because I have been cooking for about 46 yrs. and still have problems having everything ready at the same timeSmile, sometimes.  Decide how long it will take to fix the foods that are to go with your chicken, then allow about 5 min. for your chicken top sit after cooking, before serving, then subtract that from the time that your chicken has to bake. Is that T.M.I., hope not, because it works with any food that you have to cook for a longer time. Lots of luckWink,Granna2
