Hi,
I make granola bars weekly. I'd like to know if I can make several batches of the dried mix (oatmeal, wheat flour, walnuts and dried cranberries) and store for later use, instead of having to mix it up each week. Does anyone know if I can store the nuts and dried cranberries in the mix of oatmeal and flour? Or do I just need to make it fresh each week?
Thanks!
S
I would think they could be frozen also. Just make sure to defrost before taking your first bite!
If you have a chance- please let us know what you ended up doing. Sincerely, CC
Hi zephaniah, I would think that you could, it wouldn't be different from box mix. I'am nut sURe about adding the carnberries, because there might be some moisture in them that might cause mold, but on the other hand, box mixes have dried cranberries?!? I'd try it. I make homemde baking mix and it keeps O.K. Lots of luck,granna2
I agree- I definitely think you could freeze it. Please do let us know how this worked out! I would love to make granola bar, sounds like such a fun and healthy idea
