Recipe Box

I have been trying to access my recipe box for about a month now and I keep getting the message An Error Occured.  Luckily I have all my reciepes printed out but I really need one that isnt printed and cant open my recipe box.  Any suggestions?

Jaymi, you might try going in through the backdoor.  Do not go to your favorites page as I do, but access the website as if you are on a friends computer.  Type or google bettycrocker, go to their homepage, then look up in the top right corner, there is usually a place for "already a member?-login".  Then try to access your box.  I have tried this a time or two and it worked.  Also, let the tech department know of your problems and hopefully they can resolve it for you.

Just heard from IT regarding the recipe box issues. They believe they found the issue and are working on it. We have a new site release next Tuesday (Dec. 15th) and it should be fixed with that update. If you are still having issues please let us know here or here:

I am still having this problem.  All I got from tech support was "it's working on our end" and then a shrug.  This is very frustrating.  I've spent a lot of time setting all of this up, and now I can't access any of those recipes.  It worked fine for a very long time.

MemphisCook, try deleting your cookies and rebooting.  Sometimes a file can get corrupted and will not allow you to access a site properly.  After you delete the cookies this site placed on your computer, when you reboot and access this site again, you should be able to get into your recipe box.


If you do not know how to delete cookies, I will be glad to help you.  Deleting cookies and temp internet files regularly will help your compter run faster, too.

I have been having problems accessing my recipe box since Nov. 2009, I know this correlates with Betty Crocker updating their website and making changes.  At first for a couple of months I received the error page and was not able to access my recipe box at all or my account page, I sent several messages to IT and eventually within the last two months I have been able to view my recipe box and account page, but I am not able to do any more than just see the first page.  I can not delete any recipes; when I click on page 2 of my recipe box, it does not change, or when I click view all recipes it does not change, so I am assuming their is an error with the link? I am able to view individual folders within my recipe box, but not pages within each folder, just the first page of each one.  It also takes 15 minutes plus to load my recipe box page, once I've clicked the link?  I do have an excessive amount of recipes saved, is this the problem?


I have deleted my cookies and web history, tried viewing it on different browsers, which are all updated, and anything else I can think of.  Should I send another message to IT?  


I love the website and I use it on a daily basis, but I'm really frustrated with the recipe box feature!

Dear CateC,


              I sent my information to IT and my problem with the Recipe box and they replied with the exact same response as the last two times.  Is it an automatic response?  They told me to update my web browser, enable cookies and java.  I did that the first time I sent the email and told them that had been done and I was still having problems and they sent me the same email again, so I gave up.  I thought I'd try to get more info through the message boards.  I sent my password and email to IT as well.  


Any other suggestions?  Still not able to view pages in my recipe box other than page 1, even with updated web browser, enabled cookies and java.

Are you on a Mac or a PC?

Also, are you using Firefox, Safari, etc?

        I am on a PC.  I regularly use Firefox, but have also tried opening the recipe box using Windows Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, unfortunately with the same results as using Firefox.  Thanks so much for your help!

               I was wondering how the "ticket" went?  I am still unable to see my recipes other than page one.  What do you think is the next step and do you need any other information?

I'm having the exact same problem as described above - I can only access the first page of my recipe box. The links for page "2, 3, 4," etc., "next", and "show all" do not work. When I click on them nothing happens - it doesn't even try to load them. Quite frustrating when one is trying to prepare a recipe for dinner, and can't even access the saved recipes.

We have what we believe should fix this users problem rolling out 5/4.  If we can get them to contact consumer response we could get their login information including email and password and fix sooner if need be.
