Q & A for Betty Crocker Community

Need help understanding how to start a new thread? Want to alert us to site issues? Have to ask the moderators (CateC & MereL) a question? This is the category to do it!

Cannot reply to a thread

I use a Mac. I can't reply to a thread on this message board using either Safari or Firefox.

If I use my Windows virtual machine or boot to my Windows partition the message board reply works perfectly in Firefox. That's how I am posting this right now. Are any other Mac users having this issue? (not that they can post to say so unless they, too, have a dual boot system) It is quite annoying to have to switch to Windows just to reply to a message.

5 Replies to Cannot reply to a thread

A month has passed and this problem has not even been acknowledged by a moderator, never mind addressed by the web designers. Betty Crocker either does not know that Internet Explorer market share is under 60% these days, or does not care that 40% of people cannot use their website. Having to install and use a third browser, because neither Safari nor Firefox work correctly with this site, is asking entirely too much of a user.

Hi rhiamom!

Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner.

I do work on a MAC and can reply via firefox and safari.

If you haven't alerted the IT team to this issue yet- please do (they will respond... though probably not until next week because of the holiday).

I would send this to them- but I don't have my work computer. Sad

Sorry about this. Let me know if you don't hear from them in the next week.

I am thankful you joined our community and I want you to have a better experience!

Have a great holiday weekend!

I've had some problems since I joined a few days ago. The first day I posted, I was unable to edit my post. The edit part worked, but when I hit the post button it said there was no such webpage.

Just now I tried to reply to a post in a thread. I wrote out a whole recipe for the member who was requesting info on what to do with frozen blueberries. I got it just right and hit reply, but it said the link was broken.

I use Internet Explorer version 8. What's the trouble?
