My grumpy old bear wants corn fritters...

Hi all,

My grumpy guy wants corn fritters the way his mom used to make, but I can't find the recipie anywhere.Hmm  He is originally from Pennsylvania, his whole family is, and wants his mama's corn fritters. She's passed on now, along with most of the family, so finding this particular recipie has been very difficult. I know that it would make him very happy if I could make this for him. So anyone from the north-east, if you happen to have a corn fritter recipie, PLEASE pass it on. It would be greatly appreciated, and maybe he won't be so grumpy!! Wink. Thank you all and have a super duper day!!Geeked.

Corn Fritters

2 cups Bisquick mix
1/2 cup cold water
1 egg
1 (16 oz) can whole kernel corn, drained

Heat 2 to 3 inches of oil in a deep pan or deep fryer to 375 degrees.
Combine Bisquick, water and egg. Stir in corn. Drop small spoonfuls of batter into hot oil, a few at a time. Turn until golden brown all over. Drain on paper towels.
*For Spicy Fritters, add 1 (4 oz) can chopped green chilies to batter.
For Sweet Fritters, add 1 tbsp sugar to batter.
For Cheese Fritters, add 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese to batter.
For Savory Fritters, add 1/4 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 tsp onion powder to batter.

Hi Cooking_jewel. do you know what it is thats he's calling a "corn fritter". Some call pancakes made with a cornmill mix,"corn fritters" others bake a corn mill mix in corn shaped pans. then as the recipe A.B.C. posted, have corn in it. It would help if you knew. Thanks, granna2
