OK SO I'VE BEEN COOKING SHRIMP LATELY IN DIFFERENT RECIPES BUT CANNOT GET THE "FISHY" TASTE TO GO AWAY.  I REALIZE SHRIMP ARE SEAFOOD BUT I'VE EATEN SHRIMP BEFORE AND THEY DON'T HAVE THAT FUNKY TASTE.  ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET RID OF THE TASTE????

I just wanted to post this link... it might be helpful when buying and handling seafood.

A "fishy" smell or taste usually means the seafood is not fresh or was not still fresh when frozen.  I have seen ideas from washing and squirting with lemon juice to soaking in milk, but I don't think either would really help.  Even adding lots of spices won't do much to mask the taste.
