Hi everyone, I am trying to find Dixie Riddle Cups that had "riddles and answers" on them. The company dosen't make them anymore. I will take 1 or more. I don't know how I can post info to get them to me? thanks, Anna
Hey Granna2 been looking for ya'! I live in the Chicago area and happen to know someone who works for "Solo", who manufactures those cups. I can call and ask if there's anyway of getting my hands on one or more. We'll figure out how to get them to ya' later. Do want me to call?
chicago singer, YES YES YES., please and thanks The reason that I am trying so hard to find and get these is because our Oldest son owns and operates an Assited living Home and most of the people or in their 80-90's, one is 102. They have never heard or seen the Dixie Riddle Cups. so we are really trying to find them.
Hey Granna2! Okedokee, I did talk to him briefly today, he's been with the company for 25 yrs. and he did know what I was talking about. I figured I better get on it right away, he's hard to get a hold of and he's going on vacation next week. He told me that his boss'll have to go back into the archives and then a request has to be made. If they can locate any old cups that are still boxed, he might be able to request them as a gift (like a said, he's been there 25 yrs.). If they don't have any in stock, they may be at a different liocation. I hope to have an answer for you by thursday. I hope that's ok.

Hi granna2, I heard from my friend at "Solo" and they think they found possibly a sleeve of those cups. However, the people that own are retired ( the wife used to work there) and have moved to Florida. I was told that they may be out of the country till the end of this month. Is there any time limit on this? If not, then I hope to have an answer for you at that time. Is that ok? Please let me know because I'm going to have continue to remind him so that when they return he can get right on it. He's going on vacation next week, but he says he'll be happy to pursue this for us. Don't worry, that get requests for these cups alot. In fact, there's talk there at solo about bringing those cups back! Anyway let me know if there's any time limit.
Hello chicagosinger. granna2 is having a problem with posting a reply to this link. She said that there is no time limit and yes, she is still interested in the Dixie Riddle Cups. Thanks.
Hey there luv2cook2008, Thank you for getting back to me for granna2, I was wondering if I'd done to something wrong! Then I started to worry if granna was ok. Could you please relay a message to her? Lately I've had trouble getting a hold of my friend. He's been really pulling the OT. Let her know I'm still working on it. The last time I spoke with him, the people had returned from their trip but it's difficult for them to look, as they're older folks. I guess the gentleman did say he thought he had a box of the cups (He thinks), but they're in the attic and he's waiting for his daughter to come and look for it. So that's where it stands. Also, can she get onto the site at all? If so, she might try going to "contact us". She can e-mail them and they'll probably get back to her in about 24 hours. If she can't get onto the site at all, maybe I can get a hold of you if I hear anything. In any case, let me know please!
yes, no time liimit.thanks
Hi Granna2.
I'm sorry you are frustrated by the inability to put an email address on the message boards. This is actually a policy of BettyCrocker.com that is set up to protect our users. Some spammers look at message boards like ours to gather up names for their spam email lists. They have technically that automatically lifts the email addresses they find on big sites.
If you must post your email address because you want to trade information with another message board user, I would suggest you use a little trick that we've discovered that actually hides the email address spammer technology but allows you to share online. You basically take apart your email address in a way that the other readers know how to put it together, but the spammer technology can't read.
This is how it works: break up your email address with spaces, use [at] instead of @ and use the word dot instead of an actual dot. Example: heather [at] yahoo dot com. You can see how that would be put back together -- and the message board lets you post it.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need more explanation.
Thanks!Heather
(By the way, the example I used is not a real email address)
Hi granna2, I'm thinking about finding someway of getting you my e-mail address so that we can deal with this 'dixieescapade' without taking up more space on this site. What do think? I just read Jessica's post regarding posting e-mail addresses safely here, so it can be done. Let me know, ok?
