springform pans

I saw a recipe for using a springform pan and my mom who was taught alot by her mom isn't sure if a recipe that calls for a springofrm pan if you can use another type pan for the recipe.  please let me know

Hi nanashelper, Since I don't know what recipe your using, I'll guess it calls for a spring form pan to make it easier to get out, kinda like a cheese cake dose. Try to use the same size pan, line it with a sheet of foil,greased if it calls to grease the pan, that is large enough to come up over the sides of the pan, then when it's done and cooled, just pull it out of the pan useing the edges of the foil.
