egg equivilancies in cake mixes

In a regular cake mix that calls for three eggs (no specific size indicated) would you use only two jumbo eggs as opposed  to three large eggs?  P.S. I am a newby.

Welcome to the Message Boards!

When a specific size egg isn't called for it is safe to assume they want a large egg.  A large egg is 1/4 cup.  You can measure it out or just use two jumbo eggs.  I found an egg chart you can refer to if you would like here:

Thank you very much for asking this question.  I am in the process of making a BC box German Chocolate cake and all I have is jumbo eggs.  And, thank you Eemma for your answer.  You have saved the day!
