Fried eggs and ground nuts

Hi! I have 2 questions for anyone who can be of help. First: How do I fry a soft egg making sure to get the whites cooked so they are not runny and keeping the yolk runny? I feel ridiculous asking, but for some reason I always get the whites not cooked enough. If I cook it longer I tend to get the yolk cooked too much.

Next: How do I ground nuts for kiffle filling?

Thanks in advance, I know there are more skilled cooks out there who can adivse me!! Monique Big Smile

I can never get my eggs to come out right either.  You should be able to use a food processor to grind the nuts.

Hi Nique07:

So you are talking about your eggs Sunny Side Up, Right?

I would make sure you do the following things:

1. Have the heat on medium low.

2. Spray the pan or melt a little butter before adding the egg.

3. Once the egg whites outter edges begin to firm up- but the whites by the yolk are still uncooked, lift the pan and angle the pan towards the yolk.

As for the nuts- I use my magic bullet.

I hope this helps. Please let us know how everything turned out!

Sincerely, Cate C

Hi, thankyou for responding. My husband calls them "soft eggs". cooked like a sunny side up, but flipped over and cooked on the other side too. I usually use the grease from the bacon or oil if no bacon was cooked. It is such a simple thing, but I almost always get it under or overdone. Monique
