cranberry-apple cobbler

Under the Gold Medal Flour link, there's a recipe for cranberry-apple cobbler and it calls for 1- 12oz. bag of fresh cranberries. All I have are dried, can I use them? Should I reconstitute them and if so how? Then how much would I use? thanks, Granna2

Hi granna2: 12 oz bag of cranberries is 3 cups so that’s a lot. You would need to reconstitute (leave in boiling water for at least an hour until it cools to room temp and then drain). The cranberries could be substituted with any other fruit as well. The dried cranberries won’t be quite the same, but if you try it let us know what you thought! Sincerely, Cate

CateC, I decided that your right, it would take a lot more dried cranberries then fresh, so I'am going to wait untill cranberries are on sale, then try the recipe. Thanlks granna2
