Hi poglady515:
Do you know if that was the title of the recipe. I sent Linda your post but we're not having much luck. If you could tell us more of what he remembers about the recipe may help us and other members trying to help.
Here is one of the recipes Linda gave me:
Mexican Chicken
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco
2 broiler-fryer chickens (2 to 2 1/2 pounds each), split in half
Combine all ingredients except chicken. Place chicken halves bone side down on grill 5 inches from medium coals; cook 20 to 30 minutes. Turn chicken and continue cooking 30 to 40 minutes, turning and brushing frequently with tomato mixture. 4 servings.
