Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to post this recipe Jessica.  I've been looking for this recipe as well.  My grandmother used to make it all the time.  When she died all of her cookbooks, and all but a few of her recipes, were lost.  Her birthday was this past Wednesday (02/06) so this weekend will be the perfect time for me to make this in honor of her memory.  Thank you!

I am so glad that I could help find this recipe for you too! Thank you for sharing your memories and stories. I hope you enjoyed the cake! :)

I found a Burnt Sugar Cake recipe in my BC Cookbook.  If you haven't already gotten the recipe elsewhere, let me know and I'll type it up for you.  It also has a recipe for Caramel Frosting.  Are you interested in that, too?  My BC Cookbook is the Third Printing 1980 from 1978 and 1969.
