Lost Recipe

Years ago I had a Betty Crocker recipe which I called  Broccoli Puff or Spinach Puff. It contained Bisquick, milk, eggs, cheese, salt, onion, a little Worcestershire I think, and two 10-oz. thawed boxes of frozen chopped vegetable squeezed dry. The nice thing was that you could use any veggie of your choice and it was always delicious. It was NOT one of the Impossible Pie recipes though I know it is similar. I used to bake it in a souffle dish or high-sided casserole dish. If anyone has this recipe, please post it. It has always been a favorite of our family for special meals.

Thank you, Ningy

This sounds like what you may be looking for (without the Worstechire sauce)

2 pkg. chopped frozen broccoli; thawed
1 c. Bisquick
1 c. milk
2 large eggs
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
1 c. sharp cheese; diced or grated
1 small onion; chopped

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix all ingredients together in an ungreased casserole dish, adding broccoli last. Bake until knife comes out clean like custard (about 1 to 1 1/2 hours). You can also use zucchini, squash or spinach.

Dear sharonm65,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for posting the recipe - it looks like the right one! I think I added the Worcestershire for a little more zip. I am thrilled to have the recipe again.
