Please Help!! Looking for Cooky Book Recipe

This Friday I am spending all day baking cookie gift baskets and I've lost my favorite recipe.  I got it from the cooky book, it is a cookie that is rolled, cut out, then dipped in sugar and pierced with a fork.  I also need the recipe with this for the creme filling that goes with these cookies to make them into a sandwich.  Please help, and thank-you so much.   Teresa

Just talked to Linda in Customer Service. Is this it? Sincerely, Cate

 Cream Wafers
(Buttery Jewels)

2 cups all-purpose flour*
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/3 cup whipping (heavy) cream
Granulated sugar
Creamy Filling (below)

Mix flour, margarine and whipping cream.  Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Heat oven to 375°.  Roll about 1/3 of the dough at a time 1/8 inch thick on floured cloth-covered board (keep remaining dough refrigerated until ready to roll).  Cut into 1 1/2-inch circles.  Transfer circles with spatula to waxed paper that is heavily covered with sugar.  Turn each circle so that both sides are coated with sugar.  Place on ungreased cookie sheet.  Prick each circle with fork about 4 times.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes or just until set but not brown; cool.  Just before serving, put cookies together in pairs with about 1/2 teaspoon Creamy Filling.  About 5 dozen cookies; 60 calories per cookie.

Creamy Filling

1/4 cup margarine or butter,  softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Few drops food color

Beat margarine, powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.  Tint with food color.  Stir in few drops water, if necessary, until spreading consistency.

*Self-rising flour can be used in this recipe.
