Gobs of FAT in Progresso soup

I just opened (and am eating) a bowl of Progresso Chickarina soup. Before I could heat it, tho, I had to remove over a Tablespoonful of digusting neon yellow FAT that was floating on top. Who in their right mind desires this FAT in their soup? That is just awful. I heard on a tv show that soup makers THINK people want that fat. I say it is there because the manufacturer is too lazy to retool their line to eliminate it, and it takes up volume in the can so they can put less product in there that you can actually eat.

Hey Noneofyourbizniz:

I don't know if you save the can... but:

You can always get your money back. http://progressotastechallenge.com/Guarantee.aspx

Or, if you don't want to fill things out... you can call or email.

Hope this helps!

Sincerely, CC

There are fat free choices of the soup you could make.  If you made homemade soup from scratch you would still have that fat in it.

I just opened a can of Progresso Chicken Noodle soup and found a long, black hair floating at the top!  So disgusting.  I don't know if I'll be buying Progresso any time soon, but when I called the number on the can the woman I spoke to was very polite and is sending me coupons for free General Mills products.
