Dunkaroos, what happened to them and where can I get them!.?

 hey!

I got a craving for dunkaroos a while back, and Im pretty sure betty crocker made them.  If you are not familier with them, they are the little cookies that you can dip in icing! Anyway, I want to find them somewhere, and yes I know they are sort of a kids treat, but they are great to have around for a snack.  If anyone knows where to get them or if betty crocker still sells them let me know please.  I heard they were making a come back? Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi joenewtzie, I have seen them at Big/Odd Lots stories. If you have them in your area check there.

Hi Joe!

I have been hunting for Dunkaroos as well! I don't see them in any of my local stores anymore. I did an online search. I found that you can get them on ebay and I also read that some people have gotten them at Sams Club and Dollar General. I am going to look tonight to see if I can find them without having to pay shipping!

I agree with you. My daughter and I loved them a lot.

I wished they would be still available.

At first they stopped the chocolate ones, which were our favorite, and now I can't find any anymore.

Hi Vero: Thank you for taking the time and posting about your love for Dunkaroos! Smile Your comment will be shared. I just checked out amazon- and found two types of flavors that are for sale. (Cinnamon Graham with Vanilla Frosting and Sprinkles Dunkaroos Honey Graham with Chocolate Frosting)

Hi Cate C. Thanks for taking notice of our desperate plea. I was wondering if Betty Crocker still makes dunkaroos (I haven't been able to find them in any store.) If not, is it safe to buy dunkaroos on Amazon.com? Wouldn't that mean that they were very, very old?

When searching for dunkaroos, I too found them on Amazon.com. Unfortunately, they cost over $2.25 per container even when bought in bulk. And that's without shipping. Is there anything we can do or anyone we can call (pester?) to bring back dunkaroos.

The only reason I joined this website was in an attempt to bring back these wonderful treats. I'm glad to see other people have been asking for them on this message board -- clearly there's a market for them as they've sold so well at such a high price on Amazon and eBay. I'm really ready to do what it takes.

Confused

Thanks.

Hi iluv11alot:
Good news! I just talked to Customer Services and they said that Dunkaroos are alive and well! They continued to say that it sounded as if this product has become hard to find in your area (which is unfortunate because Dunkaroos are in National Distribution).  If grocers choose not to order (due to limited shelf space) the product then become much harder to find in many areas. This may be the case in this situation. Have you talked to your supermarket manager yet? A few members on here have said it’s worked for them.

Also, General Mills has a product Locator available on the website  www.generalmills.com <http://www.generalmills.com>  - brands – product locator.

Hope this helpful! Sincerely, CC

Hey Cate!

I took a little while to respond because I sent out an email to the contact e-mail of my local supermarket and was hoping to receive a response so I could tell you what they said. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a reply yet.

According to the product locator I'm apparently 30+ minutes from the nearest Dunkaroos. I might just have to drive out and buy some there (hope they haven't run out!) I really appreciate your help. If I'm lucky maybe the local supermarket will start selling them -- it'd be a victory for all of mankind (I'm not really crazy).

Thanks.

iluv11alot: Ha! You aren't crazy! I hope you do get a response soon! Also, before traveling 30 plus miles- I would contact the store and make sure they have the product in stock.

Thank you so much for your follow-up. I hope you are united with Dunkaroos soon! Smile

Sincerely, Cate

I purchased them today at a NJ ShopRite supermarket.  I had been looking for months in the cookie aisle of various supermarkets.  I stumbled onto them by accident today in the granola bar section.  Try that in your area and maybe you'll have luck too!

Dollar General has them I LOVE THEM THINGS good luck : )

I know that this is an old post but I too am a Dunkaroos lover.

I grew up with them and then they ran away from me. :( I just did the product locator and not even within 50 miles is there a store with Dunkaroos. Just another reason to add to my list of why Missouri is a horrible state.

Hi Joe! I haven't stopped searching for these, I even recently saw them in the background of someones home on a reality show!! Which made me start looking even at discount stores, amazon.com has them though as i recently discovered! I hope they are not old! ha ha i just ordered a pack :). Im on the west coast and they are not out here, the show I saw was filming on the east coast, not sure if you are over there but they sure are not on the west.

I have lived in Oregon my whole life and have never really paid much attention to dunkaroos, then when I met my boyfriend he had his mom mail him some dunkaroos from New hampshire cause he could not find them in stores anywhere. Ever since I met him I have been looking for them in stores, I finally found 12 boxes in a longview washington store. But I have not found any since, even the locate products thing in general mills can not find any for up to 50 plus miles.. If anyone knows a store in Oregon that sells them can you tell me?

7/27/2011 9:38 AM

Dollar General sells them!! I see them all the time there!

Good Luck,

Gayla

If it's not delicious, it's not from my kitchen.
