There is a funky local restaurant in a Minneapolis neighborhood that is known for its “real food,” organic approach. The restaurant sometimes offers a great dinner deal—their simple, rustic pizzas and a bottle of wine. While we usually meet up with friends there, we all decided to save our pennies with a pizza and wine potluck.
Here’s the idea: bring a bottle of wine (preferably one already at home) and an interesting pizza to share.

The women in the Betty Crocker Kitchens make so much food for a potluck that we have to split the event into two separate events. I think I’ve mentioned this before. Today was our “Holiday Potluck” and, though the holidays are over, there was no lack of holiday spirit in the air.
One large kitchen island was devoted to appetizers, salads, turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, casseroles
and another to breads, tortes, puddings and candies.

Today we had a potluck in the Betty Crocker Kitchens. You may remember me writing about a potluck back in December. Usually it’s a once-a-year deal and people get really excited and make tons of food. Last December there was so much food that someone decided we needed to break the event into two separate seasons. We had a potluck today in the Betty Crocker Kitchens. To say there was a lot of food to choose from is an understatement. Selections included, but were not limited to: Roast turkey, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, pear and greens salad, seven-layer salad, pasta salad, quinoa salad, fresh fruit salad, roast beef and broccoli roll-ups, pumpkin bread, root vegetables, glazed ham balls, zesty tomato soup, feta-yogurt dip with veggies and cheese and crackers. Don’t even get me start on the dessert options. Here's just a glimpse of what my lunch was like:
