Last weekend I helped my sister, Carrie, cut out 69 hearts to make valentines for her daughter Morgan to give away at school today. Carrie used three hearts per valentine and stuck a Dum-Dum pop in the middle. Here they are assembled: Pretty cute, eh?Happy Valentine’s Day.

Hi all,
Glad you like the valentines. I wish I could take credit for them but they were all my sister's idea.
We used thick stock paper--the kind you get at scrapbooking stores. We folded the paper over and then cut half a heart shape along the crease so that when unfolded, it was a perfectly shaped heart. (Because the hearts have a crease down the middle, they look more flower-like.)
Then Carrie held cut one hole at the bottom of each heart using a hole punch so the Dum-Dum would fit. Morgan wrote on the hearts before Carrie assembled the valentine.
They really weren't hard to make. Just took a little time to cut out 69 hearts, but there were two of us so it went fast.
