Back when I worked at Sassy and then Mademoiselle, I got some pretty cool stuff in the mail: CDs, DVDs, invitations to movie premieres and more beauty products than a girl could ever wish for. Now that I work at General Mills, I’m lucky to get a letter (though I once received three pints of ice cream from Häagen Dazs thankyouverymuch).
Yesterday, Andi got something in the mail that had our whole row in stitches: An invitation to “Party with Pork” and a box that included a purple, glittery Mardi Gras mask and a plastic pig snout. It was a promotion from the National Pork Board to entice her to visit their booth at the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) Conference April 15-19 in New Orleans.
I am not attending the conference but I would very much like to party with pork. I’m going to have to look into what I have to do to get on that mailing list.
