I’m at a loss at what to write about today. Other than my responsibilities at work, food hasn’t played much of a role in my life lately. My colleagues would be appalled if they saw the contents of my refrigerator. I’ve got a jar of pickles, lots of soda, beer, a few hunks of cheese, some flour tortillas and a door full of condiments that have been there since the 90s. Not exactly inspiring. My apologies.
While I try to get back into a food groove, I’m going to share one of my all-time favorite appetizer recipes with you. It’s been my favorite ever since I was a kid, long before I had anything to do with Betty Crocker (so the fact that it’s a Betty recipe is pure coincidence—seriously). My mom would make these when she and my dad entertained and it was always a treat to eat one or two before being hustled off to bed.
I’ve since made them myself and often receive requests to bring them to parties. I’m not gonna lie: They’re putzy to make, but every cheesy, salty bite makes them worth the work.
Enjoy!
