I gotta be honest—I’m a little "fooded out" at the moment. (Yes, I know that's not a word. Cut me some slack. The cogs in my brain are a little rusty after being on vacation.) I haven't been cooking or baking much lately, yet it feels like I've been surrounded by food 24/7.
Last night after yoga class I came home, sliced up a tomato, drizzled it with Italian salad dressing and called it dinner. (The salad dressing was homemade, so I think I deserve a few points for that.) I would have killed for fresh mozzarella but I didn't have any on hand and it was so flippin' cold outside I wasn't about to get in my car and head to the grocery store. Despite this, and the fact that tomatoes aren't in season, it tasted absolutely divine. I think it was my body's way of saying, "Enough with the junk already. Gimme something good." For someone who broke out in hives after eating a high protein bar as a kid, that's saying a lot.
