I love fresh strawberry pie. When I was in high school, Nelson's Family Restaurant in Richfield (MN) became famous for their fresh strawberry pie. It was piled high with fresh strawberries, held together with a strawberry glaze and topped with lots of whipped cream. Pies and More Pies

I have waxed poetic on this blog about pie before, but as a pie lover (we had a pie buffet at our wedding that upstaged our wedding cake), I am of the belief that enough good things can never be said about pie.  In the last four days, I have made five pies: three blueberry, one strawberry with oatmeal streusel, and one lemon meringue.  We entertained, and then were guests twice, and I offered to bring dessert each time.  The fruit just looked so good at the market where I go, so pie seemed like the obvious answer, plus I never seem to get tired of it.
