I get hungry for Swedish Meatballs around this time of the year. These meatballs are different from other meatballs because of the spices (nutmeg, allspice and sometimes dill weed) mixed with the ground beef and pork, and the creamy gravy served over them. Swedish meatballs are usually served as a main dish with boiled potatoes.

Are you a fan of Food Network or The Cooking Channel? I must admit that I do love cooking shows, but am a bit particular about them. At our house we have a DVR which allows us to record programs very easily. I probably have about ten favorites that record, but my favorite among them is Tyler’s Ultimate. Lately I have heard some ideas about cooking that are new and innovative, and I have become fascinated by looking for better ways to cook “routine” foods.
