Next week is a Jewish holiday called Shavuot.  The holiday is a celebratory one which commemorates God’s gift of the Torah to the Israelites.  The holiday has several minhagim, or customs.  Some involve decorating with flowers and reading specific parts of the Bible. Non-Traditional Holiday Meals?

I have to admit that when it comes to food, tradition is my master.  The thought of seeking out new ideas for the holiday table has crossed my mind lately, but, to me, it really just feels like deviation from some unwritten plan that I’ve actually already made up my mind to follow.
