One of the most fun Jewish holidays is one that is far lesser known than Hanukkah or Passover. Purim is a holiday that involves a lot less of the decorum of other holidays. Purim recalls the story of Esther and her ability with her Uncle Mordecai to foil the evil plot of Haman, who sought to harm the Jews of Persia. Since the plan is foiled, the holiday is one of celebration. Purim involves festive community costume parties and lots of food and drink.
