The other day I posted about how much I love to bake and eat pies. Here is another installment in my tribute to pies. In case you are looking for a recipe to bring to a get-together, this one is a keeper. It is a cross between pie, cobbler and crisp, and it is spectacular with vanilla ice cream (we just got an ice cream maker, so I plan to post about it soon!).

I have waxed poetic on this blog about pie before, but as a pie lover (we had a pie buffet at our wedding that upstaged our wedding cake), I am of the belief that enough good things can never be said about pie.
In the last four days, I have made five pies: three blueberry, one strawberry with oatmeal streusel, and one lemon meringue. We entertained, and then were guests twice, and I offered to bring dessert each time. The fruit just looked so good at the market where I go, so pie seemed like the obvious answer, plus I never seem to get tired of it. I think I’ve come up with t...
