Olympics Inspired Pot Luck Party

I am invited to an Olympics themed party tomorrow evening to celebrate the beginning of the Vancouver 2010 games.  We are going to eat, visit, watch the Opening Ceremonies and sign up for a “fantasy Olympics” (think fantasy football) contest.  Each of us is bringing a dish to share.  The host assigned each of us a country, and I was lucky enough to draw Canada.  My mom is Canadian, so lots of our favorite family dishes are traditional Canadian ones.  I am going to bring tourtiere, which is spiced French Canadian meat pie.  I am cheating and u...
