Sandwich Night with the Deen Brothers

Last week I had guests—my mom and aunt—in town and, inevitably, one of their requested destinations was The Mall of America. If you love malls, it is the place to be, with hundreds of shops and restaurants and plenty of people watching. We were lucky enough to catch a special event that was happening in the mall: a cooking demonstration by the Deen Brothers, Jamie and Bobby. The demonstration, sponsored by the Grain Foods Foundation (of which General Mills is a member), featured a variety of different sandwiches. Jamie talked about sandwiches as the perfect food for rushed family dinners, since a sandwich often has protein, vegetables and grains as its ingredients.
