What did I do on my summer vacation? Well among other things, I tried out a recipe for making infused vodka while at our cabin last week. Since I was on vacation, I didn’t care to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, but this was so easy I had to try it.
I got the idea for making this beverage from one of my favorite websites: David Lebovitz - Strawberry Vodka.

Cranberry Liqueur
What could be more fun to serve over the holidays than a pretty, bright red beverage? This one is made with fresh cranberries, sugar, water and vodka. Start it right away because it has to stand for 3 weeks in a cool, dark place. I started two batches last Sunday night and on December 12th, it will be ready to serve. I’ll let you know how it turns out....

I've just returned home to Minnesota from a week-long vacation on a warm (85°F everyday) and sunny island. Tonight our temperature is supposed to go down to -12°F tonight. That's a 97°F. difference!
