Got plans for this evening? How about pizza and a movie?
We’ve been on a pizza kick recently and have invested in a pizza stone, pans from the restaurant supply store and a wooden peel (a birthday gift from my husband, which he realizes is a gift that will keep on giving). I wanted to give the new peel a whirl this week and prepared a couple pizzas using leftovers and refrigerator odds and ends, and flour, salt and yeast, which I always have on hand.

Are you a Black Friday shopper? Up at the crack of dawn to snag unimaginable bargains? I’ve always loved the thrill of holiday shopping and on the day after Thanksgiving, especially. Being out and about, we’d usually catch lunch or dinner someplace, especially if one of us was in from out of town and wanted to go to an old favorite haunt. Last week, I came down with a bad cold--the kind that really slows you down. In fact, I stayed home from work one day since I didn't have enough energy to get dressed, much less drive to work. As I lay in bed, (I wasn't hungry at all, mind you) I thought about food because that's what I do.
