I am on vacation all week but I’ll leave you with some baking advice. Be sure to pick up our newest supermarket recipe magazine, titled Fall Baking. I love the jack-O’- Lantern Cake Pops on the cover and I think that Blake will too. You will find another dozen spooky Halloween recipes in this issue.

Before I get to the topic of this post on Monday, October 12th, I feel as if I must share with you something about the weekend weather, here in Minneapolis. Last Friday with temps in the upper 20°s and snow overnight, it seemed too early for winter to begin. It is snowing again today and the forecast is for at least 2 inches more. This is the scene outside one of the windows, here at General Mills.

As the days grow shorter and our nights become cooler, many of us start to think about baking again. In fact, we sometimes refer to this as The Baking Season.
