Sometimes, to get a yummy birthday cake, you have to bake it yourself. I’m not a control freak in the least until it comes to what I’m going to eat—especially on my birthday! I prefer scratch cakes, especially those densely chocolate and nearly flourless ones.
One of my very favorites is Triple-Chocolate Torte.

As it gets closer to Valentine’s Day, I’m thinking about hearts, flowers, candy and chocolates—aren’t you? But are you thinking about chocolate pasta? Normally I wouldn’t be either, but I was given a package of it as a Christmas gift this year.
